Q. Can I take both nanogreens and nanoreds?
Absolutely!. Some people use an AM/PM plan of nanoreds in the morning and nanogreens at night. Others like the way they taste together! Slowly adding nanogreens to nanoreds is a great way to get greens into a finicky child or picky eater.
Q. Does nanoreds contain gluten, soy, iodine or vitamin K?
nanoreds is natural free of all of these.
Q. How much resveratrol is in nanoreds?
There is 100 mg of whole grape extract providing 5% trans-resveratrol per serving. Note that we use whole grape, which provides other polyphenols as well, not the vine polygonum cuspidatum ( Japanese knotweed), which is less expensive and found in most resveratrol supplements. The concentration of resveratrol typically ranges from zero to a few micrograms per milliliter (mcg/ml). Since a reasonably full wine glass contains about 150 ml (5 fl oz), a concentration of 1.5 mcg/ml of resveratrol (which is about average) would give 225 mcg, or 0.225 mg, per glass far less than the multimilligram amounts of resveratrol found in nanoreds.
In every serving of nanoreds we have resveratrol from the whole grape of 5000 mcg divided by 225 mcg per glass of wine = the resveratrol in 22 glasses of wine per serving! The whole grape is just one of our many ingredients in nanoreds, which is why it is such a great value.
Q. Is daily use of Elderberry safe?
Yes. The parts of the elderberry plant that have a potential health risk are the leaves, twigs, branches, seeds and roots. They contain a cyanide producing glycoside. Ingesting any of these parts in sufficient quantity can cause a toxic build up of cyanide in the body. However ripe berries are safe to eat. The elderberry that we are using in nanoreds is a dried ripe berries powder.
